The traditional pizza pie has a long and cherished culinary tradition that stretches across centuries, continents, and cultures. Hello Pizza’s history stretches across the shabby couch of chef Ann Kim’s old New York college apartment, where sustenance came in the form of a daily cheese slice. Hello Pizza is inspired by the ubiquitous New York slice shop, with the same attention to craft, ingredients, and grease, that place a classic New York slice in a category of pizza all its own.

A Korean immigrant, she credits her culinary palate to helping her mother and grandmother at an early age make traditional staples such as fermented bean paste and kimchi.
